NEW YORK, NY – July 12, 2012 — Businesses in the New York Metro area are gaining access to new and significant support in their quest for growth as New Jersey-based strategic marketing consultant Slade Kobran joins Chief Outsiders. Chief Outsiders is one of the nation’s fastest growing and most innovative marketing strategy consulting firms, focused on implementing market based growth plans for midsize companies through fractional, or part-time marketing executives. As a Chief Outsider, Mr. Kobran will assist growth-oriented businesses as a fractional CMO (Chief Marketing Officer).
“I'm thrilled to be joining Chief Outsiders,” Kobran said. “Their unique business model brings expert marketing to midsize firms who otherwise would not have access to the marketing and strategy expertise they need. I'm excited to share my expertise in building technology and serviced-based businesses with growth-oriented companies in the NY/NJ area. I look forward to helping unlock their potential and making their vision happen.”
Mr. Kobran has more than 25 years experience in growing technology and serviced-based businesses in the U.S. and globally. His background includes product management, product marketing, lead generation, sales support, sales management, channel development and strategic planning at mid-sized companies and Fortune 100 organizations. He started his career at Dun & Bradstreet where he quickly progressed to various roles in product marketing, field marketing and product management. At ADP, his roles included marketing programs, strategy, pricing, competitive intelligence and sales support for several of the company's divisions. Most recently, Kobran was Chief Marketing Officer at Infogroup, after having spent time as VP of Marketing at the company's National Accounts division and SVP of Global Marketing at the firm's research division, Opinion Research Corporation. It was as Infogroup's Chief Marketing Officer where he built the firm's first strategic marketing organization and was instrumental in developing and executing the company's turnaround strategy.
“Slade brings an excellent mix of innovation, strategy and marketing discipline honed through many years at some of the best marketing-oriented firms in the world,” said founder and principal of Chief Outsiders, Art Saxby. “His proven record of developing and executing strategic growth plans will greatly benefit all of our clients and strengthen the Chief Outsiders’ network.”
“In today’s competitive marketplace growth-oriented CEOs know that they need someone to develop and implement a high-level marketing strategy to get to the next level,” Saxby added. “But most find the cost of an in-house senior marketing executive prohibitive. That’s why our solution of outsourced CMO services or an interim CMO is gaining such quick traction in the marketplace.”
Kobran received his BS in Finance from Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ. He is active in multiple business and marketing organizations and has spoken at events including Argyle Executive CMO Forum and the NJ Marcom. He is a New Jersey native and currently lives in Northwest NJ.
